The Constitutional President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, spearheaded an event focused on agricultural production with the Patria Grande del Sur at the Casona Cultural Aquiles Nazoa in Greater Caracas.
During the gathering, President Maduro announced a comprehensive renewal and simplification process for the Gran Misión AgroVenezuela, aimed at maximizing productive efficiency through a total reengineering of the program.
Joined by high-ranking government officials, including Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez and Ministers Alex Saab and Juan Carlos Loyo, President Maduro also connected via satellite with representatives from Brazil’s Landless Workers’ Movement (Movimiento Sin Tierra). These representatives are working on several hectares in Bolívar State to launch the “Plan Patria Grande del Sur.”
“Great economies and wealth are built step by step, and Venezuela has it all. Our greatest wealth is our people: farmers, workers, producers, entrepreneurs, and business owners,” emphasized the Head of State.
During his address, President Maduro highlighted that the event focused on “economic transformation” and the “Plan for Absolute Productive Independence,” showcasing progress in agricultural production.
He presented several working documents designed to streamline thoughts and action plans to enhance efficiency within the current 12 pillars of the AgroVenezuela program. “We can simplify it to five, six, or even seven pillars. The more streamlined a plan is, the easier it is to execute,” he stated.
The President also underscored that this week is dedicated to the real and productive economy of the new economic model. “We’ve moved past the desert of depending on others in the world; now it’s time to build on solid foundations,” he declared, emphasizing the importance of achieving maximum economic prosperity without relying on or owing favors to external entities.
“We are rebels; no one gives us orders, and we don’t ask for permission. We are building a self-sustaining economy,” he proclaimed.
Finally, President Maduro reaffirmed the Bolivarian Government’s commitment to the 13 economic engines and its intensive efforts to drive recovery. “We are achieving it; there’s still much to do, but the important thing is that we’re doing it: producing, working, and inspiring a culture of work for a new economy,” he concluded.
